A Card for Spring

It's definitely Spring -- well, sometimes it seems more like Summer here in LA! But Spring has sprung all over the place. As I'm typing this, there are several birds outside just singing away... I just hope Kato doesn't bring anymore of them into the house. He's brought home about six birds already and what a mess it is to clean up! What I don't understand is that he brings home mainly hummingbirds -- I thought they would be difficult to catch because of their size and speed, but not for my Kato. Of all the cats I've ever known, Kato is actually the sweetest; he loves people and dogs! Here he is resting his head on Chelsea's arm.

Did you know that over at Paper Craft Planet the Super Novas compile an album every month, each with a different theme?  For this month, our theme is "Flowers and Showers." Throughout the month, we will be adding new cards and projects to the album.  You'll want to check them out!

This week I'm adding this card. It has no sentiment on the front because I'm not sure if I want to use this for a Mother's Day card or for a birthday. I used velum behind the flowers to give the card a softer look. The papers are from My Mind's Eye. The flowers are trimmed from one of the designer paper and I simply added white Liquid Pearl to give it some dimension. The large button is from Making Memories and I topped it off with a smaller metal button.

You might notice that I have a new blog. I was quite unhappy with my old server, so I've been trying to set up a new one. I'd love to hear what you think.  As for my templates, I have a separate site for them, which I'll probably be tweaking for a while.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a FABULOUS weekend!

This is beautiful, Adela!! Love the design of the tag nestled inside the larger tag!

Kato looks like a sweetie! He looks just like a visiting tom cat that we had in college. He used to just walk in to everyones apartments and make himself at home. I have no clue who his owners were but he sure was a sweet visitor to have!

Adela, I love your kitty - and am a kitty lover too (I have 3) so I'm glad you are taking good care of Kato (like the guy who lived on OJ's property when OJ's wife was murdered).
