A Wild Experience and a Wild Purse!

Can you believe this Gift Card Purse only took me 15 minutes to make? I really needed something fast and easy to make and this was the perfect project.  I'm adding this to our Challenges by AR Wild Prints Challenge going on right now until the 14th. Hope you're checking every day to see if your comments have made you one of our daily winners!

The reason I needed to make something very easy and fast is because the last 24 hrs was just a nightmare for me!

I had a horrible accident as I was getting ready to take a shower Monday night... I had forgotten my hair conditioner on the counter so I stepped out of the shower to grab it. Now I ALWAYS use my flip flops on that tiled bathroom floor, but for some dumb reason, I decided to take the six foot walk to the counter with my wet feet. As I turned around to head back into the shower, I slipped and fell very hard, hitting my forehead on the way down and hitting the corner of our tub. Never have I bled so much in my life -- blood everywhere! On my hands, face, floor -- it was literally dripping and puddling on the floor as I tried to get up. Luckily, my dear husband was in the next room and rescued me from the mess I'd made. He wanted to get me to the ER if the bleeding didn't stop, but luckily, it stopped about an hour later. Having a doctor for a husband sure has it's benefits. He cleaned the wound really well, patched me up and observed me the next couple of hours. Was I scared? You bet! I even went as far as giving him instructions on how to close up my website and to notify a couple of people to take care of things, etc... I'm sure I scared him with my "last requests." Anyway, all day Tuesday I suffered not only from pain in my entire head, but apparently I had injured my left knee and both arms. I've always heard about horror stories of head injuries, but thank goodness looks like I'll be okay.

Hope you all are having a great week so far. Be sure to check out our challenge blog for daily chances to win our new Let's Vase It!

Adela, what a nightmare. Thank goodness you are OK, please take it easy. Just goes to show how quickly accidents happen, and great that your hubby was at hand. I was a little concerned cause we hadn't hear from you a few days. Hope your knee and arms are not too bad. Just take care for the next while, Warm wishes and hugs

Meu Deus !!!

Imagino como deve ter sido difícil e dolorosa essa experiência !

... já vivi algo semelhante ... com meu filho.

- ele também escorregou... cortou o rosto ... não gosto de lembrar.

Vou torcer para a sua rápida recuperação.

Beijos

Adela, that is so scary! I am glad you DH was home. Head injuries bleed so much. I don't think I could have waited an hour for the bleeding to stop. You are one tough cookie. I hope you feel better and recover from the soreness quickly. Hugs!

BTW, your purse is AWESOME! You give the purse designers a run for their money. You Rock!

Adele, I am so very sorry to hear about your fall. How scary for you. My prayers will be with you for a quick and speedy recovery. I on the other hand do not need water on the floor to slip...both my sisters and I seem to have the uncanny ability to trip over nothing, providing lots of laughs for our families and lots of bruises! Hope you feel better soon. Hugs, Teresa

So thankful it was not worse. I had a similiar situation where i was ill and fainted as I walked into the bathroom, fell and hit my head on the bathtub edge and was knocked out. I am sure I was pale from fainting already and didnt think about what my husband must have felt finding me completely out, pale, lying on the floor. He thought I had died. Thankfully, I was Ok too.

Love the purse and love giving gift cards, especially to little girls. How cute to make this with pink camo and some feathers.
