Last week, to honor our 12 year old Shiba Inu, Angel, I made a digital stamp and cutting file of her. She had been sick a lot the last few months and I had a feeling that she didn't have much time left so, I wanted to make something just for her.
Then Saturday morning, my husband took Angel to the vet to see if there was anything she could do to make Angel better, or at least make her feel more comfortable. Instead, she said that Angel would probably get worse and because of all the suffering she's been going through, it would be best to put her to sleep.
After the vet's appointment, my husband brought her home so our two girls and I could say good-bye to our sweet Angel. We spent the next hour and a half showing her our love and trying to play with her. Her discomfort was so evident that we knew the vet's suggestion was for the best. The saddest part was watching her take her last ride to the animal hospital. There she sat in the back seat watching us wave good-bye to her and hearing us tell her we loved her.
She will be greatly missed.

My heart is breaking for you and your loss. Angel was such a beautiful dog and as you described a very loving part of your family. Please take comfort knowing that she no longer is suffering and that you did what was best for her.

Oh my...here I sit crying like a baby. I'm such a softie. I can just see that beautiful girl in the back seat. I'm so very sorry, Adela. I do believe in doggie heaven, and I think your Angel is running, and playing, and is now your guardian angel, lovingly watching over your family. Hugs, dear friend...and oodles of prayers.
As I read this; the tears just flowed.It wasn't too long ago when we awoke to find our beloved Sheltie had passed.It was like the night before, he came to me with a sincere look in his eyes as if to say I'm tired of this heart battle, I love you but it's time for me to go.
Our fur babies are just as much a part of the family as any other member. I am so sorry for your loss.
Angel, was beatiful. She will forever be in your hearts.

Mascara alert...I am so sorry for your loss...I cry because I know what that last goodbye feels like....and I know what joy our animals bring to our lives...She is absolutely beautiful!! I will be lifting your family up as you adjust to your new normal without her physically with you.

I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet Angel. I'm holding back the tears because we know that we too will soon have to take our last farewell to our lovely black Labrador, Bonnie....she gets a little worse each day...you have made such a brave decision. God bless. x

I am so sorry for the loss of your Sweet Angel. Its like losing a part of your family when you have to say good bye to a beloved animal. Please know that I understand your heart is breaking, but you made the decision out of love for Angel, and that takes a lot of courage-because its one of the hardest things we'll ever had to do!
Such a beautiful thing to do in her honor. I am so sorry for your loss. This brought tears to my eyes. I can just see her watching you as she is driving off. So sad.

I as sooo many othershave known the pain of having to put a family member down. Angel has seems to be that way; dogs have always been apart of the family in my home. It has taken courage to put Angel to sleep...I applaude you and your family...very brave. Your digital stamp is a living testament of your love for Angel and she knew of that love! Family pets are that way!! That's why the term a dog is man's bestfriend is sooo very real. My heart goes out to you and the family at the loss of Angel! Sending hugz your way!

I know this heartache far too well. We had to do the very same thing to our Jack Russel Daisy the day after Christmas 2 years ago. She was with us for 13 years and my heart still aches over it. Please know that I will be thinking of you and am sending you hugs.
