Valentine Blog Hop!


Join me and the AR team as we celebrate the "Lovely" day known as Valentine's Day! We have new templates made especially with that day in mind and we'd LOVE to show them to you -- so let's get hopping! Each designer will be giving away one of the new templates to a visitor who leaves them some "love" (a comment), so you'll have several chances to WIN! To qualify, just leave your comment before Wednesday, January 26, when the winners will be announced.

For my first project, I had little Love Birds in mind for this bird cage template, but I decided to make this "Home Tweet Home" template as a tea light candle holder instead. NO, I did NOT use a real tea light -- it's battery operate! I covered the openings with vellum paper and simply placed the fake candle inside with no worries! The roof (comes with or without openings) easily lifts and stays put with a "hinge."

SUPPLIES
Template: Home Tweet Home (Creations by AR)
Paper: SU!, Velum
Acc: Organdy Ribbon, Pins-n-Things Flower, Wire, Chandelier Trinket Beads


"Isn't She Lovely" shaped card goes great with the bird cage template. I decided to add organza fabric to give it a softer look, resembling the velum window cover of the candle holder. Instructions for adding a "gathered" skirt are included in the template.

    The birdhouse is really cute, and a great idea for the tea light. I love vellum, and that's a perfect use! I think the dress template would make a great place card at a bridal shower or even at a baby shower if you put a little cotton ball bump under there!
