This card is for my best friend.
Eight years ago, a movie on TV came out called "The Christmas Shoes," a very touching story about a mom dying from cancer and her little boy who wanted to buy her a pair of beautiful dancing shoes so she would look pretty when she went up to heaven. The mom lost her battle with cancer on Christmas Eve. Needless to say, it was quite a tearjerker.
The Play Date Cafe was to use Red and White on a card or project and I immediately thought of this image! I wish I can remember where I got the digital image of this beautiful shoe. If anyone knows where it came from, please let me know so I can give credit to them.
This card is also for the Stamps R Us challenge, which was to create a holiday card.
Myra just gave me the link to this gorgeous shoe image! It's a free download from Jak for a limited time here:
Also, Patti J told me about the challenge over at Stampin' Sisters for Christ, which was to make a white card with a splash of red. Thanks Patti!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope your holiday season is wonderful so far!
