3D Tuesday Challenge - Halloween Jack

Okay, so I've been MIA around here. It's just been one thing after another that has kept me from posting, which I really do miss! From my husband getting pneumonia, to my daughter getting the flu, and adjusting to my other daughter moving out to start college and basically trying to get reorganized. Another thing that's been taking a lot of my time is that I'm revamping my online shop, which I've just transferred to another site which has more options. Depending on how quickly the transition takes, the new shop should be up any minute now. In the meantime, I'm trying to add my new items to the site and hopefully all that will be done very soon, so I hope you'll stop by there for my reopening! Also, be sure to sign up for my updates over there. Doing so will keep you up to date on my specials and discount coupons!

Now for this project.... I'm hosting the 3d Tuesday Challenge on Paper Craft Planet and this is what I created for this week, my version of a Jack-o-Lantern. Of course I didn't use a real candle inside! Instead, I inserted a battery operated tea light candle to give it a safe glow. Initially, my template for this box was much narrower (only 1 inch deep), but when I thought about putting light in it, I decided to add another 3/4 inch to accommodate the tea light "candle." I made this one quite simple by just adding organdy ribbon on the top, but I also used it as a fun favor box to hold Halloween treats!

For my readers and for Paper Craft Planet members, you can download this template for free (for one week only). It's available in my new shop (I'm crossing my fingers that the transition is almost complete) and all you have to do to get the free download is to use the code pcp3d84 at checkout. If the link doesn't work yet, just keep checking back. It should be up soon!

I'd love to see how you crafters decorate this happy pumpkin. Be sure to upload your photo to PCP and tag it 3d84.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope this week is a great one for all of you!

Good Luck with your new store site. Hope all the transitioning goes well! The Jack is great and I like how you made it with the tea lights. I could see several of these lining a sidewalk Halloween night to line the path for all the little scares!

Hi there,

This is a question for the webmaster/admin here at cbyar.blogspot.com.

Can I use part of the information from your post above if I provide a link back to your website?

Thanks,
Peter

I missed the free download by one day:( Thought for sure I would get back in time from my sisters to download this. Since you posted it last Tuesday, I thought I had until today to download it. Oh well! Love your blog and your shop!
