"M" Tote and Card Set
With Mother's Day coming up this weekend, I thought I'd make an ensemble for my BFF. What will I put inside? Well, hopefully I'll find the necklace that I lost since before Christmas. I couldn't find it then, so I gave her something else. So, I thought for sure I'd find it before her birthday, but that didn't happen. Hopefully I'll find it before Sunday!
I recently bought some My Mind's Eye paper and I'm loving it. The colors I used here are bright and may seem Fall-like because of the orange, but I really love their papers!
When I saw that the challenge for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday (FTTC65) was to make a card and gift set, how fortunate it was for me, since I was making these anyway. The tote, which I call "Haute Tote," is one of the templates that I have available and is available in PDF, SVG and DXF files. So if you have a cutting machine, just upload my file and the machine will cut it for you! I love technology!
For the card, I decided to go with the sketch from Our Craft Corner (OCCSC14). Instead of the circle, I used a butterfly. The organdy ribbon kind of ties in with the tulle that I used in the bag, instead of the regular tissue paper (they're less expensive, too!).
Template: Haute Tote
Paper: Vanilla, Durango (SU!), Ooh La La (My Mind's Eye)
Ink: Pitch Black (Adirondack)
Acc: Brad (SU!), Ivory Tulle, 1" Ivory Organza Ribbon, Leaf Trinket Pins (Maya Road), Dew Drops ) Robin's Nest), Nestabilities, Butterfly Die (Sizzix), "M" Charm, Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there
