In 2005 I gave my mother a purse for Christmas. The purse was one of those fancy ones that you can't get from just any store. My mother had been through so much over the years and she never asked for the "finer things in life," so I thought it was about time and splurged. Her favorite color was green so naturally I wrapped her gift and used a green/sage ribbon for the bow. New Years Day 2006, she passed away. A couple of days ago, I found that same ribbon, stashed away in a drawer.
So now, that ribbon is on this card. I think she would have loved it.
Like the card I made before this one, I used my Nestabilities to cut the shaped window on the front of the card. Behind the two layers, I added velum -- yes, I love velum! After twisting and wrapping my mother's ribbon on a piece of round card stock, I simply adhered it to the center of the "window" and attached a very old pearl button to the center.
I'm not sure what I'll do with this card, though.

Adela, beautiful card. I know your mother is loving it from above! It reminds me of something that an older person will love! Course I know your mother was not that old either. Send that to an adoptive mother you may have - or someone who is like a mother to you - they will love it for Mother's Day.
Dont remember if I've asked this or not. Do you live close by where the Houseswives of Orange County live. I know they live away from each other - and Orange County is a large county. Love watching that show sometimes.
Frame it! As a rememberance. It's beautiful and I loved the story behind it.
This is beautiful!
Hugs,
Caro
