These ornaments were so fast and easy to make and I'm pretty sure you'll agree. It's this week's
3D Challenge on Paper Craft Planet! I've included a template of the "Li'l Mit'n" and if you get intimidated about sewing, well sew what! Just kidding! No worries... there are actually adhesives like "Fabric-Tac" that takes the place of sewing. That's what I used on the ivory mittens. The burgundy mitten was sewn together using my sewing machine, but I got too lazy to change the thread, so I took out my fabric adhesive for the others.
Here are the simple steps to making one of these felt ornaments:
• Cut two pieces of felt using my template (located in
this post) or use your own.
• Sew (or glue) close to the edges, leaving the bottom edge open.
• Stuff the mitten with batting (optional).
• Attach loop to one corner using a 5" string, folded in half and tied at the ends. (I used a large needle with the string to sew on to the corner.)
• Now, decorate!!!
